Article Abstract:

The safety measures in a process industry can be categorized in three levels namely individual, micro organizational and macro organizational. The individual level depends upon employee attitudes, employee behaviors, and employee knowledge. Macro organizational measures are technological complexity, work force specialization, centralization, decentralization, vertical and horizontal communication, tight coupling and redundancy of the system.
