Monitoring simplified

Article Abstract:

Chemical treatment of water cooling systems is used to improve the performance of steam-generating and cooling equipment. The Drew Marine Division of Ashland Chemical Co has developed a new treatment method for onboard water systems which uses its Titret test kit. The self-contained kit features vacuum-sealed ampoules with pre-measured reagents that allows simple handling and easy water sample analysis. The kit can be used to determine corrosion levels in cooling water systems, impurities, and sulfite levels in boiler systems.
