Take care of your kit: caution should always be the guiding principle in deciding when to replace a fire suit, SASI is told

Article Abstract:

Ship crews need to carefully look after their personal protective equipment and replace it on a regular basis especially for fire suits that get wear and tear from regular fire drills. The manufacturer's guidelines for cleaning, drying and storing the suits should be followed because the suits could rot if they are not maintained well.
