The older driver with dementia: An updated literature review

Article Abstract:

The issue of determining driving competence in the older driver with dementia is addressed. Neuropsychological tests that highlighted visual spatial skills, attention and reaction time provided the most meaningful correlations with driving performance so it is suggested that patients with MMSE (Mini-Mental State Exam) scores of 24 or less should have a driving evaluation at six month intervals.

Development of an algorithm for an EEG-based driver fatigue countermeasure

Article Abstract:

An EEG-based fatigue countermeasure algorithm and the report of its reliability to detect different phases of fatigue is described. It is argued that the Implementation of electronic devices for fatigue detection is crucial for reducing fatigue-related road accident and their associated costs.
