Flooring is an important aspect of transit vehicles as it provides protection to the sub-floor, slip-resistant walking surface and eases cleaning of vehicle. Choosing the material, style factors, safety, longevity and ease in maintenance and care are the factors to be considered by the buyers while sorting through a variety of manufacturers and material available on the transit floor marketing.

Maryland Transit upgrades ability to track training and certification

The Maryland Transit Administration has purchased a learning management system (LMS) software from Pathlore Software Corp. to track employee training. The software has enabled easy access to the employees to register themselves for classes, to review transcripts, take training and certification tests online thus saving time and money of the company.

Military bus program offers charter work for operators

US Department of Defense (DOD), through its passenger program, military bus program, would allow motorcoach operators to extend their charter services. However, the prospective charter should qualify the tests conducted by the DOD and then sign the Military Bus Agreement (MBA).
