Unseen yet indispensable to success

Article Abstract:

The passenger ship Elation has continued the successful concept of the Fantasy class of ocean vessels for Carnival Cruise Lines Inc and it is the first ship for the company to feature Azipod propulsion. While Elation is quite similar in hull construction to the ist six sister ships, extra steel strengthening was required to support the Azipods. Two eight-cylinder units in Elation's port forward main engine room have also been replaced by two 12-cylinder units.
