APTA 'webinar' gives pointers on cutting rising health care costs

Article Abstract:

In view of rising health costs, the various alternatives followed by public transport agencies to minimize health-care costs paid to employees have been described in a 'webinar' organized by American Public Transportation Association in April. Suggestions like bargaining with workers' union and preferring consumer-directed health plans where funds are deducted from the workers' salary have been provided to solve the above problem.
