Toasting success

Article Abstract:

Quizno's Canada Corp of Vancouver, British Columbia, has evolved into North America's third-largest sandwich chain, behind only Subway and Blimpie. Company marketing literature attributes its success to entrepreneur and CEO Rick Schaden, who transformed a customer's comment he overheard in 1986 at his first franchise in Boulder, CO, into the company slogan: 'The Best Sandwich You'll Ever Eat.' Quizno's operates over 500 Quizno's Subs franchised locations across the US and may soon add 200 more units across Canada and UK.

All you can seat

Article Abstract:

This is becoming even more apparent with consumers demanding quality similar to 'a la carte' coupled with the convenience associated with buffets. Fortunately, advances in food service technology, such as cooking/holding ovens, induction cookers and computer systems for restaurant applications, have allowed buffet operators to cope.
