Field of vision

Article Abstract:

Venues planning on investing in video screens or walls are advised to use a consultant to help make their selection. Video walls are not recommended for outdoor use, as they will be affected by bright sunlight; however, they can be successfully employed indoors. Areas to be considered include viewing angle, public address system, video production and play-out system, picture resolution, and the structure on which the screen or wall is to be installed.

Giant video screens, or videowalls, are increasingly popular at permanent mass entertainment sites all over the world. More vision needed for NVQ

Article Abstract:

UK National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ's) are not supported by sport and recreational businesses because they are inadequately advertised and confusingly presented to industry. NVQ training programmes would provide staff with the opportunity to greatly enhance performance if they were centrally co-ordinated and upheld as excellent achievements within the industry. Standards should focus on customer service.
