Robin Copeman

Article Abstract:

Robin Copeman, a retail and catering consultant, believes that the attitude of the British must change from servility to service as a pleasure, as in Asia, where the quality of service is ahead of Britain. In theme parks, he feels that brands are important and he predicts a growth of outside brands within theme parks. Plans for retail and catering areas should be included in new themed areas of a park right from the outset. A high level of customer service must be maintained in consumer catering at airports.

Kitchen utensils

Article Abstract:

Good quality equipment is essential to a competitive catering operation. Basic equipment includes three sinks, refridgeration achieving two temperature ranges and cooking facilities. Commercial equipment is preferable to cheaper domestic equipment even in the smallest facility. The stainless steel finishes are more durable. A well-designed counter allows effective presentation of the product.
