Hot stuff

Article Abstract:

The UK market for coffee consumed outside the home is growing along with an increase in the number of new style outlets dedicated to coffee sales. Some 360 million meals included coffee during 1997. Young adults spent 40% of their money, allocated for food, in eating and drinking outside the home. Some 88% customers preferred to use vending machines with a known brand of coffee. Tea is still the preferred non-alcoholic drink in the UK but coffee is the preferred beverage consumed outside the home.
