Job swap

Article Abstract:

Job swapping is becoming increasingly popular in many areas of business and industry as a way of allowing employees to learn about other professions and improving understanding between companies and their clients, consultants and service providers. A job swapping exercise was undertaken recently by the Athenaeum Hotel in Piccadilly, London, and accounting firm KPMG. This was designed to give the participants the necessary experience to improve future dealings between the management consultancy and hotel sectors.

They often find it hard to study at conventional times, as they usually work shifts, so flexible learning is essential. Such courses are available from institutions including the Unison Open College.
