Continual development and the embrace of new technology was the theme running through the 1999 European Collaborative for Science Industry and Technology Exhibitions conference held in Prague during November. Delegates were informed on new ways to encourage visitors to learning exhibitions, while projects set up to celebrate the new millennium will also feature heavily for the next few years.

Brixton reborn

Article Abstract:

The City Challenge urban regeneration programme in Brixton, England, has transformed the town into a lively and interesting area with a thriving economy. The five-year programme cost 37.5 million pounds sterling to implement. Resident business owners were deliberately employed by the project to enhance working relationships within the community. A description of the new centre is given.
