Loyd Grossman

Article Abstract:

Loyd Grossman, the British television celebrity, heads up the Campaign for Museums which involves a number of key representatives from museums throughout the United Kingdom to raise their profile within the country. Approximately 700 museums are named in the campaign, which aims to encourage the British public to visit them more often and to appreciate their value. Backstage tours are used to illustrate what work goes on behind the scenes in a museum. Voucher offers and media coverage is expected to help the campaign during 1996.
