Olympian bid effort brings games to London 2012

Article Abstract:

The economic aspects of the 2012 Olympic games, which are going to be held in London, are discussed. The government has estimated an increase, in the capital's visitor's economy to five billion pounds, due to the oversea visitors to the United Kingdom. The events can promote the British economy by around nine billion pounds.

34,000 playing fields lost since 1992

National Playing Fields Association (NPFA) says nearly 34,000 playing fields have been lost since 1992. It was referring to recently published figures by Department of Cultural, Media and Sport (DCMS). The views expressed by members of NPFA on the report are also presented.

Tennis museum unveils details of revamp
