Article Abstract:

In relation to the government's proposal for amendment of United Kingdom's gambling legislation, a Gambling Bill is likely to be proposed in autumn before the parliament. A Joint Committee has made certain recommendations for the draft bill on defining casinos by their size, overall entertainment and leisure content as by the gaming, proposed areas for the development of these casinos, restricting unlimited payout slots and to recognize the value of a stable, publicly acceptable industry that can demonstrate sustainability and create long-term partnerships.

The British betting industry seems to be in for good times, after a government announcement about the fixed odds betting terminals and also the privatization of tote. Due to these far-reaching announcements the share prices of all the betting companies showed an upward movement.
