The Disability Discrimination Act expects service industry to improve their policies and provide additional services to make access easier for disabled people. Disability Rights Commission (DRC) advises the hotel industry to improve their services for disabled because 8.6 million disabled customers who spend 50billion pounds sterling a year on holiday cannot be ignored.

Getting the right rates

The valuation office, UK would send Forms of Return to occupiers of all commercial properties in England and Wales. The rating list would come into force after 1st April 2005 but the assessments would be based on rental and trading information from April 2003.
