Article Abstract:

Grinner's Food Systems Ltd's success has been attributed to the company Chmn Bill Hay. The Truro, Nova Scotia-based company, the owner of the Greco Pizza chain, owes its success to the fact that Hay has been a long- time Kentucky Fried Chicken franchisee. There are now 100 Greco outlets in eastern Canada, and the franchise has continued to improve its performance. For example, same-store sales in 1999 increased by 15% from the 1998 level.
