Article Abstract:

UK tourism has suffered in 2001, first with the foot and mouth epidemic, followed by an economic recession, and culminating in the New York terrorist attacks in September. The tourism industry must respond positively to these setbacks and try to coordinate its approaches to promoting holidays at home to UK residents.
