Never in anger: The Pedersen Device

Article Abstract:

The Pedersen Device replaced the bolt on a modified M1903 rifle and turned the '03 Springfield into a semi-automatic rifle. A 40-round capacity box magazine is attached to the right side of the device and held in place by two spring-loaded fingers.

John Moses Browning is the most prolific and best-known gun designer. The design of the first semi-automatic shotgun and its 96 years of production are a tribute to the genius of Browning and are firearm designs that are still produced.
