Article Abstract:

The federal government recently closed Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, DC, to vehicular traffic. A journalist recalls that during his college years at George Washington University, one of his goals was to close the avenue to traffic to protest government's policies.

Gorillas just want to have fun

Article Abstract:

Zoo keepers are changing their approach to propagating gorillas in their care. They change the mates of father and mother gorillas after a certain period of time, a practice adopted after studies showed that the primates switch partners after mating.
