Bringing your own bottle

Article Abstract:

Some restaurants in Washington DC allow customers to bring their own bottle of wines. They offer low or no corkage fees to make up for the loss in wine revenue. Diners, however, should call the restaurant in advance and explain why they would like to bring their own wine.

The Zinfandel is one of the most uniquely American wine. Unlike other wines, it has no European counterparts and is a product of the California gold rush. It is typically bottled as a single varietal and is a popular party wine. The best Zinfandel products are evaluated.
