Electrical installations are being affected by electromagnetic compatibility (emc), despite contractors having specific guidelines to help with installation procedures. Disturbance to power supplies is often caused by faults at the coupling junction of cables or electronic equipment which causes surges or dips in voltage output. Switched loads cause the most damage to power supply quality, with separation of supplies the only method to avoid such disruption.

The Bushnell Yardage Pro 800 is an inexpensive but effective optical rangefinder that can produce acceptable distance measurements. The rangefinder uses an infrared laser, which under optimum conditions, enables the instrument to measure up to 1,000 yards.
