International air safety experts are challenging the results of a joint US-Russian air safety report by claiming that Russian airspace is dangerous. High crash totals, deficient maintenance and chronically overloaded planes were cited as reasons.

As an experiment, a piece of luggage was left unattended in many cities to determine how long until it was taken. When the bag was left in a park in Moscow, it was taken in seven minutes. In some cities, the bag was never taken.
