Cheering on the boys

Cheer leaders reflect Washington's diversity as it includes women form different fields, married or unmarried with utmost importance given to looks followed by dancing ability and dedication. They have some norms to be followed, some restrictions to keep a check on their appearance, weight or else they run the risk of being disqualified.

"Don't hurt me I'm just a kid"

Article Abstract:

A number of young children in the age group of seven to fifteen years that steal cars and can make off with about fifty cars a day are discussed. They steal cars for a sense of adventure as they do not have much to occupy their time, as part of a group egged by peer pressure and as part of the dating ritual.

Northeast DC cab drivers, providing an important city service though don't make big money some cabbies overcharge and mistreat passengers. An investigation aimed to prevent taxicab abuse reveals that majority of the DC's taxicabs fail the required safety and emission inspections.
