Cruise-boom dilemma: as the cruise fleet gets bigger, ports of call get smaller

Islands worldwide are receiving calls from cruise ships as cruise firms seek more islands to bring their tourists. The islands of Southeast Asia, Indonesia, South Pacific and off South Africa are emerging as new stopovers for annually increasing numbers of cruise ships and travellers.

Suggestions to visit an island for a recreation at the best time of the year, considering the environmental conditions are presented. Usually shoulder seasons (the period bridging high and low seasons) are the best times, during which the travel is easy, and prices are optimal.
