Green menagerie

Article Abstract:

The Ladew Topiary Gardens in Monkton, MD, are likely the finest examples of topiary work in the US. They were created in 1929 by Harvey Ladew after he visited England and saw topiary gardens there, when the craft was still largely unheard of in America.
