How Tim Wirth got the shaft

Article Abstract:

Senator Tim Wirth had been the most likely appointee for the Department of Energy leadership. However, widespread rumors and criticisms of Wirth prompted Pres Bill Clinton to appointed Hazel O'Leary instead. Wirth should use his post at the State Department as a chance to lessen his adversaries.
