Lawyer Harry McPherson has earned an enviable reputation among Democrats as a political adviser. He has worked as special counsel to Pres Lyndon B. Johnson but has left the government to practice law in Washington, DC, in 1969. McPherson's experience in the White House has proved valuable to his legal and lobbying efforts.
