Everest's allure hasn't peaked: last year's disaster adds to the mystique

Mt. Everest continues to attract climbers despite several fatalities in 1996. Among the dead were experienced guides Scott Fischer, Rob Hall and Lopsang Jangbu Sherpa. Increased demand for their services are drawing guides back to their high-risk occupation.
