Just deserts

Article Abstract:

Racing the Planet organized an adventure race spanning three years called The 4 Deserts, which started with a trek across China's Gobi desert in 2003, followed by journeys across high-altitude Atacama Desert in Chile and the Sahara in Egypt and the final weeklong event across Antarctica starting on January 24th. Team Illinois comprising of Nancy and Joel Burrows and Dave Kuhnau have completed all the three legs and are now ready to compete in the final leg of the adventure race.
