Kenai steelhead myth never dies

The Kenai River features rainbow trout so large they are often mistaken for steelhead, the larger sea-going trout. Biologists studying the overgrown rainbow trout say they may be a steelhead hybrid or the offspring of fish that escaped from steelhead hatcheries.

A vivid account of night-time fishing for king salmon on the lower Kenai Peninsula in Alaska is described. The highlight of the night is successfully catching a 20 pound salmon on the Ninilchik River.
