Article Abstract:

The governments of Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe are appealing to the Convention on International Trade of Endangered Species body to reactivate its ivory trade. These governments have proven, effective wildlife conservation programs and the ivory trade will allow them to effectively manage the population of wildlife.

'Eco-safaris' in Zimbabwe enable visitors to experience the thrill of the hunt without having to kill animals. Instead of live bullets, the hunters use paintballs that easily wash off. However, real hunters claim that this deprives the natives of their right to hunt and make a living.
