Modern traditions

Article Abstract:

An overview of the ways in which Inupiaq eskimos in Barrow, Alaska, are adapting their old traditions and employing 21st-century technology. Andrew MacLean, a filmmaker and founder of the Inupiat Theater, argues that all cultures have to change, that the only authentic cultures are not ones that you only read about in old reports and that culture does not simply go on display in museums.
