Clipper Auditorium Chair

Article Abstract:

The Clipper auditorium chair designed by MHO Design Ind e Com Ltda for Projeto SA Productos e Objetos of Sao Paulo, Brazil, received a gold award in the furniture category of the 1992 I.D. Annual Design Review. The Clipper chair was praised especially for its efficient folding action, obviously intended to create more space and facilitate access in an auditorium setting. In addition, the Clipper has low tooling and manufacturing costs, can be easily delivered and assembled, and be cleaned and maintained with ease. The seat numbering device was also noted for its simplicity, clarity and good taste.
