Play: Offshore pro Don Combs shares his proven game plan for scoring with swordfish off northeast Florida

Article Abstract:

The stocks began to rebound for Swordfish, the hot new big-game species for Florida anglers. Don and his crew hooked five fish in a single night and managed to bring four to the boat and kept one that pushed the 200-pound mark. In South Florida, the stream abuts areas of significant bottom structure that create upwelling, while the bottom of the north Florida is relatively featureless, and the presence of bait are the features to be watched.
