"Practical to tactical": Barrett's model 82A1

Article Abstract:

The semi automatic .50 BMG rifle bearing the name of Ronnie Barrett who designed it as a commercial long-range target gun has become the M82A1, one of the best arms for America's changing military role. Although relatively heavy, when compared to modern small arms, it is accurate at long range, sturdy and reliable.

The national match

Article Abstract:

The 1921 National Match rifles are the same as the S stock on the standard 03, with a straight grip and relatively short pull. The standard NM rifle remained unchanged until 1929 when the S stock was replaced with the C stock, which had a full pistol grip, straighter drop and longer pull.

The grease gun: U.S. submachine gun, caliber .45, M3 and M3A1

Article Abstract:

M3 and M3A1 grease guns do not rate favorably compared to the more finely made Thompsons. The M3 and M3AI submachine guns did, however, play an important role in WWII battles.
