Article Abstract:

The J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business have always been in close, though usually friendly, competition. Recently, Kellogg placed 2nd in 'Business Week' magazine's rankings of top business schools in the US. Univ of Chicago ranked 3rd. The rankings have influenced how business schools operate, with more money going toward recruitment and public relations. Both schools are expected to remain at the top.
