The city of Salvador da Bahia, Brazil is considered to be the country's spiritual center because Catholics make pilgrimmages to it, and it is the birth place of the religion candomble. The city has a large festival in late winter and is emerging as a travel destination as the city updates itself and its musical reputation grows.
