The southern Baltic coast offers vast virgin beaches, classic Belle Epoque hotels, spas and cities with rich historical and architectural heritage. Moreover, amber, a hard golden substance formed in the Baltic waters from the resin of a particular type of coniferous trees, first attracted the world's attention to these beaches.
