Soaring car-rental taxes

Article Abstract:

The surcharges and additional taxes collected by car-rental companies vary greatly by location due to local tax laws. The additional costs can add as much as 26%, as in Phoenix, AZ, to a rental car bill. Tourists are targeted to help raise revenues. Taxes and charges for 41 destinations are listed.
