The Republican campaign for the 1992 US presidential election has been frustrating for vice-presidential reelectionist J. Danforth Quayle. He feels that lackluster preparations of the Bush campaign staff will jeopardize the ticket's chances as well as his own presidential bid in 1996.

Federal Reserve Board Chairman Alan Greenspan is being criticized for his preoccupation with low inflation. Although the inflation rate is below 3%, Washingtonians prefer the high inflation rate that comes with high interest rates and real estate prices.
