Stalking the last tigers

Article Abstract:

Tigers are on the way to extinction, but there are 3,000 to 4,700 Bengal tigers alive. A safari trip to a park in Nepal to look for tigers is presented. A tiger is spotted toward the end of the trip while riding on the back of an elephant, the usual mode of travel when looking for tigers.

The three-year Korean War of the 1950s claimed a huge casualty list among US soldiers that reached as high as 54,000. The event has unfortunately not been remembered as much as the Vietnam War and the two world wars. Finally, in Jul. 1995, a fitting memorial was erected in Washington.
