The National Rifle Assn. (NRA) celebrated its 125th year in Dallas, TX, during its 1996 Annual Meetings. The NRA meeting drew a record number of members and guests, who assembled to celebrate the association's accomplishments.

Statistics prove that incarceration of criminal elements is more effective as a crime measure than anti-gun legislation. States which register high incarceration rates have much lower crime rates.
