The C.S. armory Richmond and the Macon stock shop
Article Abstract:
The way in which the embattled and industrially weak Confederacy produced the guns that bore the name 'C.S. Richmond' is presented. The State Armory building in Richmond and its newly captured riflemusket machinery were transferred to the Confederate States control in June 1861, along with the services of Master Armorer Adams and Burton.
