The S&W .38/.44 Super Police

Article Abstract:

The development of the Smith and Wesson .38/.44 Police Special revolver arose out of the necessity of developing a revolver for law enforcement officers which would prove reliable under many field conditions. The .38/.44 Police Special was specifically designed for this application.

New sixguns of the Old West

Article Abstract:

An evaluation of thirteen cowboy guns are presented. These cowboy guns or 'six-shooters' are patterned after the old guns of the Old West but have been updated in terms of materials used and actions.
