A unique chartered tour offered by Quark Expeditions provides travelers with the rare opportunity to visit the North Pole. The tour, which costs a hefty $17,000 per person, is made possible by the chartering of the nuclear-powered Russian icebreaker, the Yamal, which has made 5 trips to the Pole for Quark.
