Developer Stanley Selengut built his resort called Harmony in the US Virgin Islands. Selengut emphasized environmental concerns in the construction of the resort. Walkways were built to connect cottages instead of footpaths and cottage units were built between standing trees. Harmony also uses solar and windpower systems made from recycled materials.
