A brief description of the recreation facilities available in the Santa Catalina Island, is presented. The Island was in earlier days, a favorite location spot for filming Hollywood movies. These days in order to avoid environmental pollution, automobile travel is banned and visitors travel by boat or cart.

Big Sur

Big Sur is a coastline, an area easy to navigate, and visitors who like water are suggested to see two local parks, the Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park and the Andrew Molera State Park. The different places for lodging, dining and reading are listed.
