Together in body and soul: visit three restored 19th-century Midwestern settlements, each formed on the strength of religious ideals

Article Abstract:

Travelers interested in history and religion can visit three 19th century-restored towns in the US Midwest. These are Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill, KY, Historic New Harmony, IN, and the Amana Colonies of Iowa. All three towns were built by different religious societies during that era.

Secrets of the stone

Petroglyph National Monument, NM, is the only park in the Four Corners region exclusively designed to showcase Native American rock art. A discussion of some of the interesting spots in the park is presented.
